Professional Experience
Mrs. Goodfellow has more than 12 years of experience spanning various positions in higher education. These include, but are not limited to, Director of Administrative and Financial Services at The Art Institute of Charlotte where she managed four departments and was a member of the Executive Committee. Positions also held at The Art Institute of Charlotte were Director of Financial Aid and Financial Aid Officer. While an Admissions Counselor at Belmont Abbey College, she traveled the state of Florida, attended college fairs and met with students and their families. She has most enjoyed guiding students and parents through the information maze that makes educational choices more difficult than they need be, and enlightening them to the exciting options that lay ahead. Most recently, she taught college level Career Development courses including creating resumes, cover letters, teaching networking skills, mock and information interviews, and career self assessment and exploration. Additionally, Mrs. Goodfellow was employed by the student lending industry as a Southeastern Account Executive where she visited close to 100 colleges and universities meeting with financial aid departments and students, and presenting on topics such as Identity Theft, Financial Aid 101, and budgeting for college.
Mrs. Goodfellow assists her clients with obtaining employment in the field that closely matches their skills, abilities, and interests. Templates are not used, so each resume and cover letter is created based on individual assessment and current industry trends and keywords. She also appreciates having the opportunity to speak at various organizations about career related topics.
Education
Mrs. Goodfellow earned an MBA from Queens University of Charlotte while continuing her career in educational services. Her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Belmont Abbey College and her communication skills led to employment at her alma mater as an Admissions Counselor upon completion of her degree.
